Health starts at home.
LUYA exists to close the distance between where food grows and where it is eaten. Not to replace farms or supplements — to give a household one thing it has never had: food that is still alive when it reaches the plate.

Food travels a long way before it becomes dinner.
Between a field and a kitchen there is harvesting, cooling, packing, freight, a distribution centre, a shelf, and a refrigerator. Every step is engineered for durability and logistics — reasonably so. But the household is always at the end of that chain, receiving whatever is left.
Freshness is the part of food quality that a supply chain cannot ship. It has to be produced where it is consumed.
A household should be able to decide when its food is harvested.
Not all of it. A home will never grow its own grain, and it does not need to. But a handful of dense, fast-growing greens is different — that part can grow on a countertop, and be cut minutes before it is eaten.
That single change moves a household from the end of the food chain to the beginning of it.
A home nutrition system, not a gadget.
LUYA is five things working together. Remove any one and the household stops succeeding after the first harvest.
- The device
- A controlled growing environment that manages light, water, air and climate.
- The app
- The control surface: status, reminders, live view, harvest records.
- Seed trays
- Pre-seeded, scannable — one tray starts one cycle.
- Growing recipes
- Per-crop, per-stage environment programs.
- Science & support
- Methods, evidence and help when a cycle goes wrong.
Four principles we are willing to be judged on.
- Reliable growth
- A system that only works for enthusiasts is not a product. It has to work in an ordinary kitchen, repeatedly.
- Invisible intelligence
- The technology should disappear. No dashboards to learn, no gardening skill required.
- A healthy ritual
- Value shows up in the daily act of cutting and eating — not in a specification sheet.
- A durable ecosystem
- Trays, service and support have to keep working for years, not one launch season.
Three things LUYA will not do.
- We don't manufacture health anxiety
- No fear-based marketing about the food people already eat.
- We don't overstate the science
- Where we lack evidence, we say so — and we publish what we do not yet know.
- We don't turn you into a gardener
- If the system needs your expertise to succeed, the system has failed.
An honest status report.
LUYA is a pre-production company. We are validating that ordinary households can complete real growing cycles, harvest food they actually eat, and want to start the next tray.
Specifications, pricing and research results are published here only once they are frozen or reviewed. Where a page says a claim is pending validation, that is the literal status — not a hedge.
Fresh Nutrition is the nutrition you actually receive after time, distance and storage have taken their share. Here is what the research shows, and what it does not.
Living Nutrition describes a state, not a benefit: food that is still alive at the moment of harvest. Here is what that means, and where the idea stops.
A home nutrition system is a device, an app, seed trays, growing recipes and support, working as one. Here is why a machine alone is not enough.
A plain-language guide to microgreens: how they differ from sprouts and mature greens, what the research shows about their nutrient density, and how to use them safely at home.
A century of industrial food solved hunger and quietly charged one price: distance. LUYA's vision is to bring the growing of food back home — and eventually, wherever people go.
The development record behind Luya X-1: light-spectrum experiments, three prototypes, custom electronics, and the move into manufacturing — photographed as it happened.
LUYA is building a home nutrition system: a device, an app, seed trays, growing recipes and the science behind them. Here is the company, honestly described.
