LUYA
Crop library

A different harvest every week.

Twelve trays in the first batch — ten single varieties and two mixes — each with a named seed variety and photographed at five stages. Three more are grown and not yet offered.

How to read this

Days are ranges, not promises.

The durations below are what we have observed in internal testing on current hardware. Real cycles vary with ambient conditions, the tray and the crop itself.

Flavour notes are descriptive, from tasting sessions — not marketing superlatives, and not nutrition claims.

Where a crop shows a seed photograph, it is that crop's own seed. Where it shows none, we have not photographed it yet — brassica seed is near-identical at macro range, and a stand-in would be a quiet lie about what you are looking at.

Eating them

Raw, at the end, in small handfuls.

Microgreens are a finishing ingredient. Add them off the heat — on eggs, in a salad, over a grain bowl, in a sandwich, blended into a smoothie. Rinse before eating.

A tray is a series of garnishes and small handfuls across a week, not a bowl of salad greens.

Red Cabbage

Red Acre8 days
Taste
Mild and gently sweet
Eat with
Slaw, poke bowls

Deep purple leaf and stem. Larger than broccoli, smaller than the Rambo radish.

Faintly of cabbage, and none of what a mature red cabbage does — no bitterness, no harshness, no raw edge. Gently sweet, clean, and barely any bite at all. Underneath it a light brassica herbal note. Nothing like the pungency of radish or mustard microgreens.
