The hardware exists to hold one thing steady: the environment a crop needs at each stage of its growth. Here is every subsystem and what it is genuinely responsible for.

Structure
Two independently controlled levels.
Eight tray positions are split across two levels, each with its own climate control. Crops with different light or humidity needs can run simultaneously, and staggering trays gives a household something to harvest most weeks.
Subsystems
What each part is responsible for.
- Multi-spectrum lighting
- Programmable spectrum and intensity, scheduled by crop and growth stage.
- Automated irrigation
- Measured watering driven by the recipe — not a fixed timer.
- Airflow
- Circulates air through the chamber to keep conditions even across trays.
- Climate control
- Manages temperature and humidity within the enclosure.
- Nutrient dosing
- Dosed according to the growing recipe for the crop in the tray.
- Cameras
- Observe each level through the cycle; the app shows the live view and time-lapse.
- Water tank
- Refillable reservoir; the app asks for a refill rather than letting a cycle dry out.
- Touch display
- Status at a glance on the device itself. The app remains the control surface.
Limits
What the hardware does not do.
- It is not sealed from your kitchen
- It is a home appliance in a home, not a cleanroom. Cleaning between cycles matters.
- Cameras are for growth, not security
- They observe trays. Camera behaviour, retention and controls are documented in the app's privacy settings.
- Some capability needs the network
- Core growing continues if the connection drops, but monitoring, alerts and scanning depend on the app.
